Autumn in Surrey

We’re lucky enough to be based in the most densely wooded county of England and so this Autumn, we thought we’d share some amazing places to go and experience the beauty of Autumnal colours in Surrey. For our customers in London and neighbouring counties, this could make for a lovely day trip (particularly if we can get a dry day sometime soon!)

Winkworth Arboretum Nr. Godalming

When autumn arrives, this National Trust estate bursts into colour. The purples and reds of Liquidamber, the golden yellows of Hickory and Tulip Trees and the copper and crimson Japanese Maples paint a breathtaking spectacle.

Team News

Like a sports team, Furlonger Tree Services has had our own ‘transfer window’ recently with a combination of ins and outs, supplemented by the continued training and progression of our existing heroes.

We’re super proud of Jake, who has gained his Chainsaw Maintenance & Crosscutting and Tree Climbing and Aerial Tree Rescue qualifications this year, passing with flying colours. He’s now learning the ropes on-site!

We bid a fond farewell to one of our Team Leaders, Dan, and thank him for all his hard work in helping us achieve our coveted ‘Which?’ Trusted Trader Of The Year status! Good Luck in your future endeavours Dan!

But it’s one out, two in as we welcome two new arborists – Rob Hanson & Josh Bruce- joining us in November. Both are skilled and experienced climbers. Josh has been in the industry for six years and climbing for four, whilst Rob has over 13 years’ experience climbing and an NPTC Qualification in Tree Surgery for Craftsmen from Merrist Wood College. Rob has worked in Surrey and London and enjoys keeping Surrey’s trees healthy.

More team leaders means more team members, so it’s a warm welcome to Sam Green & Dean Johnson who join us as Grounds Workers. Welcome to an awardwinning team gentleman!
